Here’s a double shot for the party stereo, as two of Southern Fried’s big boys step up to the decks. Mighty Dub Katz is of course a lesser used Norman Cook alias, and this hectic rush of upfront house includes the big hits under that moniker, with ‘Just Another Groove’ especially still cutting the mustard alongside Armand Van Helden, Space Cowboy and Mylo’s remix of Elton John’s ‘Are You Ready For Love’. Then Tom Gandey aka Cagedbaby zones in on house with overtones of 80s disco and techno. His big ones include the mighty Heavy Rock track ‘I Just Want To Be A Drummer’, plus his own ’16 Lovers’ in two remix guises, all part of an unashamedly groovy mix. Both are excellent and invite you to swing from the chandeliers!
