This double header is a disco lover’s delight, provided you like the slightly slower take on the style the Scandinavians do so well. With that in mind it’s no surprise that Stevie Kotey’s mix includes Lindstrom’s marvellous ‘Drums Of Life’ and Prins Thomas’ remix of Todd Terje’s ‘Orgasmatron’, though the real winner in his mix is the Kotey Extra Band’s ‘Sooner Or Later’, with Chaz Jankel – pure piano heaven. DJ Kent’s mix runs along similar lines, with a couple of funky Goat Dance numbers, Arturo Capone’s Norwegian tribute ‘Svolvaer’ and, coming full circle from Kotey’s mix, some more easy grooves from Lexx. A compilation that proves extremely difficult not to like!
