If you’re looking for your next fix of cosmic disco, then look no further, as Eskimo’s latest essay in the genre will satisfy with its low slung beats and feel good riffs and strings. Helpfully available on two CDs – one mixed, the other left alone – the set progresses from some cheery, slowed down grooves from the likes of Slight Delay and Nelue, whose ‘No Strings Attached’ is a particular high point. Gradually the pace heightens and the beats toughen up a bit, moving through Social Disco Club, Phelps and Mugwump, whose ‘Stanza’ is a particularly fine effort. Anyone seeking a late burst of summer goodness to add to their Lindstrom and Prins Thomas collection would be well advised to seek out this excellent package.
