Robbie Rivera’s style of DJing is well suited to Ibiza, as he’s a man who just can’t resist a good piano riff or three. Juicy Ibiza takes care of that habit comfortably, as he steams in to CD1 with a good cutting edge to his sound. The Rivera Project’s ‘Sax Heaven’ takes on anthem status now, even if it’s a bit cheesy, and the chunky beats and keyboard riffs that fill out the first mix keep things ticking nicely. CD2 is a stop start affair at first, but Venus Kelly, Alkatraz and Santiago Cortes straighten things out. From there on it’s downhill, with several more Rivera projects and Deadmau5′ ‘Clockwork’ seeing in the dawn with a spring in the step – and more handsome riffing. As sharp as the suit he’s wearing on the cover.
