Described as ‘touching on the best of 21st century disco’, this offering from Azuli is well put together, exploring some recent hits from the spacier side of electric disco. That inevitably leads to a few crossovers with other compilations (Chaz Jankel vs Hercules & Love Affair) but presents some good remixes of Franz Ferdinand and Friendly Fires, bringing in a more indie side. It’s well mixed, and by finishing with Holy Ghost and Low Motion Disco, covers a good spectrum in just over an hour. A solid guide to a popular sound.
