It’s good to report that, despite all the over-familiar tracks included on this second volume of the Ministry’s ‘Chilled’ output, that they’re put together with good care and attention. Too often mixes like this are too digitised and clinical, but here we get a proper chance to appreciate some bona fide chillout classics. Some of the choices are inventive, too – for the standard ‘At The River’, ‘Slip Into Something More Comfortable’ and ‘All I Need’, some of the obvious cuts included on CDs 1 and 2, there is Williams’ ‘Love On A Train’, Sebastien Tellier’s ‘Kilometer’ and Bent’s ‘Magic Love’, all in effective remix guise on CD3. So while this last CD is the pick for the more adventurous, the first two sets are mixed well enough for this to be judged a handsome summer success.
