He’s been a busy man of late, Mr Thomas – collaborating with Lindstrom and getting Full Pupp off the ground alongside this new mix album. While Lindstrom deals more in bigger structures and loping beats, Prins Thomas tends to be a bit more clubby in his approach, and that comes across well here. The impeccably chosen roster of 26 tracks includes favourites such as Sebastien Tellier’s ‘Sexual Sportswear’ and Thomas’ own remix of James Yuill’s ‘This Sweet Love’, which work really well after stripped back funk like Kare & The Cavemen’s ‘Gallery Oslo’ and Babytalk’s ‘Chance’. Thomas keeps things moving well, changing quickly from track to track while keeping an overall flow of chunky yet very danceable disco house. An excellent mix.
