If there was a CD compilation concept that fitted Faithless better than this, then I’ve never seem it, especially following from the critical success of Satoshi Tomiie’s inaugural 3D. The ‘concept’: over 3 discs the listener gets an upfront selection of ‘Club’ favourites to ‘Studio productions’, and finally, ‘Home’ an array of chilled and influential cuts. Studio Disc one includes some great music and showcases their incredible back catalogue, with, Donna Summer – I Feel Love (Rollo & Sister Bliss Monster Mix), B.B.E. – Seven Days & One Week (The Rollo & Sister Bliss Remix), 1 Giant Leap Maxi Jazz Feat. Robbie Williams – My Culture and the very short but beautiful Maxence Cyrin – Don’t You Want Me? Club Disc two is one of the best club mixes you will hear anywhere this year – bar none, including Coldcut Feat. Robert Owens – Walk A Mile In My Shoes! Home disc three includes an inspired collection which includes Grace Jones – Private Life (Sly & Robbie Dub), The Real Thing – Children Of The Ghetto and John Martyn – Go Down Easy. Faithless have become one of the world’s leading dance bands, filling arenas and headlining festivals, their ‘Greatest Hits’ album went Triple Platinum, selling over 1,000,000 copies in the UK alone last year, and this is surly another feather in there bulging cap.
