Continuing with the theme of remixing independent album tracks from Art Department’s current long player, ‘Natural Selection’ is this latest instalment featuring the magnificent, ‘Walls’. First up is the version from DJ Tennis who alters the originals fizzy electronics for something a touch deeper and sounds all the more impressive for it. Extended to over ten minutes, yet still initially retaining those flourishes of edgy synth lines, are reverberating drum hits and emotive organic atmospheres to get lost in. The Chaim Remix then completes with techno stabs punctuating the undulating funkiness of the rhythm section resulting in a rewarding late-night affair as Kenny Glasgow’s commanding vocal once again makes its presence felt.
