Boom Merchant is a UK talent making plenty of waves with his varied house and tech sounds. Also a fine DJ that afraid affair to get freaky, his music has been remixed by Dave Seamen before now, and here comes as the fifth release on Tribal Pulse. The artist’s name gives away what to expect here – tough kick drums and driving house vibes pervade the opening track, ‘Green Symphony’ as do distant groaning synths and crisp percussive ticks. It’s tough house for no nonsense dance floors and cannot fail to make you dance. Flipside ‘Stars’ is an even busier affair, with corrugated drums, ping-ponging and hugely energetic percussion and golden key stabs, electric synth lines and plenty more all making for a tight tune and involving listening. As such, off the back of another great EP, Boom Merchant is sure to continue booming well into 2014.
