Lehar is an Italian producer who makes music “that is romantic and carefully composed.” He has served up the goods so far on labels like Offenbach imprint Connaisseur Recordings and now gets a leg up to the acclaimed Diynamic off shoot 2DIY4. It is a slick original track with rich bass and rippled melodies and comes with remixes from Musumeci and Peter Pardeike that complete the package in some style.
Number One Hero is the one Lehar cut, and is a truly magical affair. With shimmering vocals and tooting chords it is feel good and fluid, loose and emotive and really will make even the stoniest techno fan smile and swoon. The first remix is from a fellow Italian producer and Engrave LTD label boss Musumeci. His take on the original is more for the club, with driving drums and pulsing synths really getting your hairs on end. Peter Paradeike is the other remixer and is a Cologne artists who has worked with Marcus Worgull of Innervisions before now. His version is all about suspensory, spaced out pads and angelic chords that will have you lost in a reverie both at home or in the club. As such, it is a fine way to finish a tidy three track EP.
