Great new four track EP from Pavel Iudin that sees the artist navigate deeper waters with the brooding title track, ‘Waxology’ which begins the release with a series of pulsating stabs. ‘Tokamak’ continues the momentum, though this time highlights the low-end aspect amid crisp percussion, while’ Anchor’ proceeds to add a sprinkle of brighter keys and emotions. The end comes with a suitably up-tempo, and by all accounts funkier ‘Charmel’ which almost has jazzy overtones plus a definite shuffle in its sassy groove for this vinyl only edition.
