Depaart complete an impressive year as they launch the new one with this low-slung number that defines intensity. Teasing you with its layers of weird vocals and atmospheric sounds the title track features one seriously heavy-duty bassline, and is compacted by funk sensibilities that feel both hypnotic and commanding. Next, the superbly titled ‘Donut Bass’ creates further striking, moody atmospheres complete with yet more sinister sounding bass and fluttering synths which breakdown into reassuring ecstasy. The apt ‘Raw Party’ finishes with squelchy deepness and a brisk tempo, and if anything is the sanest sounding out of these three equally exciting ideas.
