Ilona Maras is a new school producer on the rise. A first release from this talented artist came on Get Physical and really made an impact, and now they get welcomed into the Emotive Sounds label. In return Ilona Maras serves up a spine tingling original cut that comes with remakes from Andrea Martini and Timid Boy.
In original form the single, Orphan, is a moody and main room roller. It has robust drums down low, raw claps and tingling bells, and the overall effect really sweets you up. A great clean vocal floats up top for extra spiritual vibes. Label boss Andrea Martini then remixes the cut into something more pumping and direct, with slithering synths and colourful melodies. Timid Boy then also serves up a remix that makes the cut more dark, heads down and designed for the back room. It’s fresh and so is the rest of the EP.
