Scottish jazz-funk band who have been earning themselves an enviable reputation on the live circuit, and now prove they can cut it in the studio, too. “The Theme From..?” is the official A side – a dark funk-infused number with breakbeats and brass – but it’s the B side “Sola” which really holds the attention. In it’s original form, it’s wrapped in acoustic guitar and warming strings, but it’s Freerange’s Square One who really gives this the flavour. A true peak-time moment that really lets the track shine and gets the dancefloor coming back each time – perfect.
