‘Liberate’ demonstrates that Eric Prydz has still got the Midas touch when threading glistening, euphoric melodies together with foundry-forged progressive beats. Underpinned by an echoing heartbeat and arpeggiating synths, the vulnerable vocal dips and soars through the 80s sounding synths whilst a kick as punishing as a horse in full strop makes it as tough and testing as any track that the AAA listers could count as secret weapons in their jam-packed disco arsenals. It’s an on the shoulders, festival special that will free the disco spirit in all who rave to it. Lush.
