Having helped pioneer B-boy culture in his native Stockholm, Kenny stoked the city’s techno scene with the Concrete Soul Collective and set up the esteemed Finest Blend label. His latest EP is an intoxicating excursion into the dark side, ‘Elaktik’ unleashing thick block chords topped with eerie sonic trickery. Midway a squad of beefy roadents drop their strides and break wind. ‘Night Drive’ ushers in Detroit elements with a clicky groove and wafting guitars, Shawn Rudiman then completing the set with a swirling funk monster of a remix. Good stuff.
