Not content with the damage his label has already done this year, Adam Beyer ups the pressure further by hooking up with Alexi Delano again and unleashing a lethal pair of stripped down killer bazookas, one on the mothership label, the second ejaculating from his Mad Eye offshoot where anything is allowed to go off. ‘Sleep Horn’ [Great title but what can he mean?] buffs the goat’s helmet with a scorched circuit ripsnorter which builds on metallic pulses, interesting big-log-in-the-pan ploop loop then, amidst the typically intricate groove manouvres, a grand noise somewhere between an incoming tugboat and amplified rhino flatulence. Adam’s goes it alone for the two remaining tracks: the tough, relentless turbo-funk of ‘Filthy Lobster’ and pulsing ‘Grass Carpet’, which builds a head of steam before stopping abruptly for unexpected string entry, ushering in a soft-focus melodic counterpart.
The pair then pop up again, with sonic hyperemeator [50s cow’s penis enlarger for farmers] attached to to the pulsating bass areas which propel the hallucinogenic title cut into an inter-galactic carwash of eerie fizziness and giant-sized belcherama. This can be imagined doing serious damage in the early hours. The flip’s ‘Loose Turn’ is more cavernous and ghostly with its own testicle-clamping gravitational whirlpool, the boys turning up the pressure through a forest of rotting foliage and masturbating space rodents. A titanic pair of platters for those summer nights.
