The label asked LoSoul and Seuil to pick a track each to remix from Anthony’s Doubts & Shouts debut album and the results are pretty sublime. LoSoul plugs in to the introspective mood of Tango Bizarre, weaving space-jazz layers into an intoxicating web over muted ‘French Kiss’ riff variation with shades of Mayday in the richocheting synths. Anthony’s mate Seuil may be new to the fold but asserts himself spectacularly with a percussive pulser littered with distant crashes and dark envelopes of antelope methane. Highly recommended.
