White Noise promotions honcho Colin Hobbs follows his well-received ‘Coming Up’ with another floor-detonating missile which shows that this wasn’t some flash-in-the-pan indulgence. He again reaches back to the magical era of early 90s German trance/techno [of the non-cheese variety], mating the irrepressible riffs with contemporary production touches, all underpinned by weird banks of distorted vocals. Then there’s a huge mix from Lutzenkirchen which accentuates the mayhem quotient into a climactic roof-raiser before Feis Kontrol, aka Bruce Aisher [Rollo’s old Cheeky partner] embarks on a stripped-down, thrashing turbo-romp. So he’s done it again and we can only await the next missile with eager anticipation.
