If Cortney’s acrobatically expressive comes on like a Nashville take on Bjork, it’s Ewan Pearson’s epic remix which elevates the whole thing into the kind of epic journey which shows how the song must’ve caught him somewhere inside to the point where he wasn’t able to let go. For nearly 12 minutes it follows an emotional roller coaster, fizzing and building to climaxes and groove-stretches while never losing sight of the original. The instrumental is fantastic too. An unfortunately rare these days example of remix magic let loose with glorious consequences.
