Apparently Zander VT’s studio burned down, much to their understandable dismay, and these are the first sounds to emanate from the new one like the proverbial phoenix. ‘Far From Jaded’ resurrects the metallic Basic Channel-Red riff which dominated techno for a while in the mid-90s, shimmering along on a simple-but-deadly groove. ‘Jaded’ goes sparser and tribal-tinged, while ‘After The Crash’ recalls early 90s-style trouser action with stabs and spacey efx. Each of the three tracks conjures a gorgeous, deep vibe.
