As much as his new album “Devin Dazzle & The Neon Fever” was a disappointment, Felix remains one of the artists of today worth paying attention to. “Rocket Ride”, the first excerpt, has finally been given the remix treatment by some rather hot contributors. On the first platter, Soulwax (aka 2 Many DJs, need we recall?) give a taster of their forthcoming album’s (new-found) Electro-Rock orientation (fucked-up Tech-House Belgian stylee) while Felix and sidekick Dave The Hustler’s offer their own Rude photo remix on the flip. The killer mix is yet again a Freeform Five rework on the second 12”. You can only marvel at the effortless musicality of this project’s productions. Combining live funky elements (bass, guitar, drums) with the rob-groove of Electro, this is bad and will put Felix back on the dancefloors in no time.
