Jimmy Van M, Luxor T, 3LIAS – ‘Da Goom’ – (Selador)

Jimmy Van M collaborates with Luxor T and 3LIAS to gift Selador ‘Da Goom’, a relentless slab of stadium shaking techno. The B018 main mix is in your face and brash, but in a thoroughly good way, delicious pandemonium drenched big room tackle. There’s also a dub which isn’t as much fun but spaciously combines chords and atmospheric pads for a deeper groove if you don’t need or aren’t feeling the intensity of the original, with both cuts very well produced. Remix wise all three efforts go for a different attack prospect. Arjun Vagale’s effort keeps that nagging persistence but focuses much more on lulling you into a trance with it’s full throttle tech house stomp, whilst Selador man about town SEFF combines hoovers, scatter host drum fills and melody for probably the raviest track the label has got behind, madness but just about on the right side of the track. Label boss Steve Parry manages to reign in normality somewhat with his edit, which sits between the intensity of the original and the subtlety of the dub. Selador once again on the money.
