If you ignore the fairly workmanlike A-side, ‘Tokyo Midnight’ for a moment, the real treasure lies with the second cut ‘Sunset Boulevard’. I’m not alone in this either: Desyn Masiello, Nic Fanciulli and a handful of others ignoring the so so in favour of the Australia’s deep, burbling and ever so slightly tech-etched B-side. It’s a slick and highly listenable oeuvre of rich textures, warm chords and electronic melodies that glide freely without ever boarding on the obvious.
