Another new Soma signing, Mark-Henning trailers his upcoming Jupiter Jive album with one of its more accessible tracks. The original quickly establishes its own spooked vibe; dark and shadowy, inwardly glowering with radioactive intestines intermittently uncurling malevolent sonic floaters effectively flecked with jazz piano. Then it’s the frightening prospect of allowing Let’s Go Outside loose on this and he doesn’t disappoint, giving it the unsettling swampy nightmare treatment. The malevolence continues on the flip’s ‘Moody Bastard’, which motors through Hell’s trash-cans before Ed Davenport dunks it in the chemical toilet with a juggernaut of nagging ticks. Stand by for that album.
