Respected UK tech-vet veteran Mark ‘Meat Katie’ Pember uncorks a skilfully-executed four-tracker on his own label. ‘The Real El Santos’ unzips a sinister, bass-chugging blast of sinister electronic static before the wired early hours turbo-damage of ‘Needles And Pins’ unveils bass not unlike a rising bison’s stiffie. ‘Lucia’ ups the mayhem quotient with a Full English electronic fry-up on the top deck, underpinned by scrotumesque bass action. ‘The Tension’ is something of a contrast with a lighter, funkier feel, but no less contagious in the right setting.
