I love it when a new label plops out of the blue and gives the old pleasure centres a double roasting. Audiobahn has just appeared from Sweden with a maiden voyage which can only be described as stunning. Here, Marcus Henriksson and Sebastian Mullaert join up with Karl-Axel Bissler – a name from the past responsible for ‘Gateway’ for Novamute in its early days. The 11-minute ‘That’s A Nice Way To Give Me Feedback’ is a delirious journey which starts funky and pulsing, gradually adding elements like huge bass and dub efx before building with percussive acceleration to a half-time 303 entry. From here it just goes up and up, still keeping that organic flow. There’s also an Edit version. The upcoming Mikael Stavostrand EP will confirm that this is indeed a label to watch.
