In which vocal tracks from the ‘Hello Mom’ album get turned over to a mysterious gaggle of sonic marauders with always challenging and often cranium-busting results. The killer in the pack starts proceedings: Sleeparchive’s ruthless overhaul of ‘Dancing Box’ ditches TTC’s rapping in favour of a merciless bathroom plumbing pulse splattered with white noise and death-snares, building to a grinding behemoth groove juggernaut. Berlin’s Siriusmo adds a robust, clicky funk flavour to ‘Silikon’, which features vocals by Sasha Perea. Dabrye’s treatment of the reggaefied ‘Fake Emotion’, with emotional vocal from Paul St Hilaire, is stunning, mining rarely-reached seams of deep, bass-anchored space-skank dub. Finally, another version of ‘Silikon’, now transformed into a dark, fractured rump-shaker by a mystery mixer. Maybe the label’s head honchess herself? A twisted, volcanic hotbed here.
