Mr Statik
The Business Of Getting Brown
Memo

More quality from the Berlin direction as Marc follows the ‘Kraft’ EP with three ethereally-subversive missives. The title track sets off on a low-flying prowl with haunted keys, deep pads and propulsive soft-funk inflections. The atmosphere is maintained on ‘T Bone’, which sees Marc hitch up again with none other than Pascal FEOS, a hefty name from the golden age of trousers. The pair, who collaborated to great success on 2007’s ‘Rezolution’, cook up a bassy scuttler with percussive interlude and major bass re-entry. ‘Cars’ plants eerie strings and deep voice over more weighty bass action. Controlled dynamite.
