This has already appeared with an electro-flavoured rework by Umek. Now Valentino Kanzyani and Marko Nastic get stuck in with two superb examples of technoid reupholstery. Valentino distends a distinctive bell-tone drone-riff, adding strings and percolating the percussion with rectum-tickling woodblock to the fore. Marko homes in on dramatic chords and injects a new, grungy elastic-acid riff which then, most delightfully, seems to turn into ‘Smokebelch’ midway. There’s an epic drop and, subtly, the tune has been turned into an early 90s Sabresonic kneesup! Two further examples of sublime remix technique.
