Christophe Dalla-Ca, better known as Kiko, is the key figure behind Hot Banana. Famous for bridging electro, techno and house with panache (usually peppered with tasty eighties melodic references), the talented DJ/producer, is involved in most of the tracks on ‘Pop Fiction’, the label’s first compilation (inc. David Carretta ‘Inside Out’, Alex Robotnick, Sinema etc). Two 12” samplers turn up at once: vinyl 1 boasts a fab Benoit Bollini (Moneypenny Project) remix of Human Body’s ‘Sex On The Line’ whilst vinyl 2 offers ‘Electric Cat Theme’, a cold disco delight, and a looped techy rework of Joe Smooth’s ‘Promised Land’ (‘Theme From Furyo’).
