Latest item to get fondled, rummaged and swiped clean of boxer shorts is ‘Hash Fudge’ by D.A.V.E. The Drummer and A.D.. First Ant rolls up a twitchy piledriver in the usual style. Then in comes 2006’s bright hopes Mobile Dogwash, the Leeds team whose Munted Mongrel mix displays why they are the most exciting name to be hurled out of acid techno’s pulsating scrotum in donkey’s. They rearrange the riff, add extra bass dimension and, in their typically episodic, makes-perfect-sense style, slam in with the acid to massive effect. The drop is as insane as you might expect. So far everything they’ve done has been busting with pure spirit and the excitement of invention. Normally it’s down to the old hands so we should all be very excited.
