Sovereign is a veteran producer who’s been recording for the last two decades under a variety of names [including a huge remix of Pied Piper’s ‘Do You Really Like It’]. Capable of excelling in several styles, here he adds an original slant on tech-house with three tracks of an often-startling hue on the new Raw Records operation. The title track beams in classical oboe and strings over a cavernous bottom end while ‘Alpha Omega’ is a vicious boomer with great wobbly tones. ‘Frequency’ adopts steelier groove strategy and, completing an absorbing and fairly floor-wrecking set.
