A rather special release from Dave Angel’s label as France’s Stephane and Olivier Giacomotto dedicate their fine EP to the memory of the former’s brother, who died in 2002. This follows the ‘In Memory’ set he released a year ago on Blackpitchmusic. However, the music is far from sad, being thunderous peak time techno. ‘Sacrifice & Dedication’ literal;ly swells with behemoth power as a Slam-style bass riff looms. Hectic, careering and dominated by the loudest hi-hats ever. ‘Sebastial Life’ goes off on a pummelling tribal tip with screaming drop and psychotic stabs. This wouldn’t sound out of place on Stay Up Forever! Sebastian must’ve been some bloke.
