After releasing electronic outings on labels like ultra, Om and DiscoWax for several years, Denmark’s Thor, who was trained at Copenhagen’s Conservatory, emerges on nublu with dancefloor wreckage in mind. This he achieves using his musical chops, creating an atmosphere unique to himself with orchestral panoramas and belting grooves. The title track hoists big string themes over some mood textures which, for some reason, recall the early Sabres Of Paradise. ‘Trick A Thing’ and ‘Not Invincible’ reinforce the feeling that this guy could achieve some great things in 2010.
