A nice meaty 12-inch from Ireland’s fearsome Nice ‘N’ Nasty label presents a pair of remixes apiece per side. First up is Kenny Black’s track getting given a space-funk dub-house shafting by Katsuhiko with big metallic riffs and odd alien momentum. Here the voices are clipped up but on Nasty Bobby’s electro workout they take on a new evil dimension. Flipwise, label honcho Desy Balmer’s ‘Feelin’ Electrified’ gets drenched in a bucket of dub effects on the Lackluster mix which, with the hallucinogenic aural undergrowth and spectral tech-melodies is quite a mindblowing experience. Ykuko turns in a rubbery, resonant ringer with shades of the Orb in the marimba riff and, again, its own unique drive. Mighty fine label this; always a source of top sonic mischief.
