The first of two 12s Denmark’s Anders Trentemoller will release on the long-running Kickin’ label is deeper than his usual jagged electro-minimal style and high on atmosphere. Side A’s team-up with touring partner DJ Tom is a spaced night-crawling keyboard vehicle with mood not unlike the Doors’ ‘LA Woman’ meets ‘Plastic Dreams’. Rolling bass and rippling keys over lowslung interlocking melodies. The flip’s ’25 Timer’ sees him team up with fellow Scandinavians Krede and well-known remixer Buda as Vildtand for a shadowy, dubbed-up minimal cruise which shows that deep house mating with minimal techno can be a luscious combination. The sensuous mood is further heightened by whispery female tones coinciding with further glacial melodies flying through as the percussion gains pace.
