The final single to be whipped off last year’s sublimely everlasting ‘Capsule For One’ album is yet more astounding proof of Martin Wheeler’s unique electronic vision. Here, he indulges himself with a new Polarised mix which stretches the central riff into a dark and snarling minefield of snarling counter-patterns and booming undergrowth, offset by his trademark ethereal synth melodies. For some reason, I’m reminded of Herbie Hancock circa ’83 in the restless flavour running amok! Remixes come via Transparent Sound, setting off on a brisk hike, and Espion, who opt for a Soul Sonic Force thermonuclear sweat. Now we await his next move.
