After catching on with their colourful parties in Ibiza, it was only a matter of time before Elrow hit the compilation groove – and here they are with a pair of mixes reflecting the ‘anything goes’ approach. Melé’s ‘Sunshowers’ sets the scene beautifully, and the heat-soaked house music is given extra energy by hooks like the one powering Sidney Charles feat. Lady Vale and ‘Make Me Moove’. With Route 94’s ‘House and Pressure’ the rhythms tighten up noticeably, heading for a strong finish from Mihalis Safras, Emanuel Satie and Ki Creighton & Makanan’. The brooding start to the seonc mix is soon gatecrashed by the brilliant, flickering synths of Veerus’ ‘Arp’, a fantastic track. From then on things get decidedly funky, the groove shuffling effortlessly in the Paul Darey, Hannes Bruniic & Chris Main collaboration ‘Voices’, then sharper on ‘Reencuentro’ from Pablo Say and then sharpest on the James Campbell track ‘Solar’, a sunset moment with which to play out. Thanks to Cr2 you can bring the Elrow vibes home with you – the party will never stop!
