Hip-hop jams seem long ago now that Princess Superstar has truly become unavoidable on the dancefloor (and behind the decks). After the huge Boris Dlugosch remixes of ‘Perfect’ (!K7) and a string of singles for some of the best labels around (Eskimo, Diskokaine, Mogul Electro), the entertaining loudmouth is back with sidekick Alexander Technique for a fun, fat slice of electro-house that makes you wanna dance rather than fall asleep. ‘V.I.P.’ is of course a study of nightlife’s antics and with her own inimitable drawl, this is not yet the crossover hit she will almost certainly end up getting but another winner that deserves to get played everywhere. Luscious Sounds’ head-honcho Azzido Da Bass provides a couple of raging electro-rave re-rubs.
