Oscar Rosmano is a Portuguese-Mexican DJ, producer, promoter and club curator whose influence on Lisbon’s electronic music scene extends far beyond the DJ booth. With more than 25 years immersed in electronic music, he has built a career that spans DJing, music production, event promotion and venue ownership, while also serving as owner and curator of Lisbon’s renowned Temple Club. Across a career that began in the early 2000s, Rosmano has shared line-ups with artists including Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Dave Seaman, Anthony Pappa, Danny Howells, Quivver, King Unique, Dimitri Nakov, Kasey Taylor and Khainz, establishing strong roots within the global progressive house community and earning a reputation as a respected figure within the underground scene. At a time when independent venues across Europe face increasing pressures from urban development and changing nightlife regulations, Temple continues to champion underground culture and remains a vital part of Lisbon’s electronic music landscape. Whether behind the decks, in the studio or curating events at the club, Rosmano remains committed to supporting the communities and culture that have shaped his journey through electronic music. Caifanes – Viento

I have always loved rock in Spanish from the late 80s and 90s, and as a Mexican, Caifanes are one of those bands that immediately take me back to that time. “Viento” has something special for me, it’s simple, emotional and a little melancholic. Even after all these years, I can listen to it and it still gives me the same feeling.

U2 – With or Without You

This is one of those songs I never get tired of. I love how it starts so simple and slowly becomes more intense and emotional. It has been with me for many years, and every time I hear it, it still gives me that same feeling. Some songs just never get old.

Everything But The Girl – Missing

This song brings back so many memories from the 90s. I love Tracey Thorn’s voice and the melancholy in it….. it’s beautiful but also a little sad. “Missing” is one of those songs that can completely change my mood from the first few seconds, and I can still listen to it again and again. (I have played some remixes on my dj sets)

Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys – Empire State of Mind

In the last 13 months I’ve been to New York five times, and there is something about that city that really fascinates me. Maybe because it takes me back to all those movies from the 80s and 90s that I grew up watching. Every time I hear “Empire State of Mind”, it brings me that same feeling, the energy, the streets, the lights… just New York.

Imagine Dragons – Bad Liar

Last year I went with my wife to see Imagine Dragons at Benfica Stadium. With all respect, and excuse my ignorance, I knew the name of the band but I couldn’t really identify their songs. “Bad Liar” really stayed with me that night. It has so much power and hearing 65,000 people singing it together was something fascinating.

Madonna – Frozen

For me, Madonna is the biggest star in the music world. I’ve admired her for around 40 years and “Frozen” is my favourite song from her. There is something about the atmosphere and emotion of this track that I absolutely love. Of course, Madonna could never be missing from any playlist.

Depeche Mode – Policy of Truth

This is where my relationship with electronic music starts a little. I really love this kind of electropop from the late 80s and early 90s, and Depeche Mode were masters of it. “Policy of Truth” has that dark, electronic atmosphere that I love and that somehow connects with the music I became interested in later.

INXS – New Sensation

For me, this is simply one of the coolest songs ever made. It has everything a song needs to be a hit.the energy. More than 35 years later, it still sounds fresh and makes me want to turn the volume up every time I hear it.

Technotronic – Pump Up The Jam

I remember the first time I went to a real party. I was still a kid, but we already had those parties in the gardens of friends’ houses, a bit like something from an American Pie movie. I remember walking in and seeing everyone dancing and I had never seen people dancing at a party before, never seen a DJ, nothing. Until then I basically only knew music for kids! “Pump Up The Jam” was playing at that exact moment, so it’s impossible for me to ever forget it. Maybe that was the first time I felt a little bit like an adult, hahaha. And more than 35 years later, it’s still in my car playlist.

Metallica – Fade to Black

I don’t really listen to metal anymore, but this song still gives me goosebumps. Metallica was the band that made me dream about music and made me feel that somehow I wanted my future, my career, my life to be connected to music. “Fade to Black” takes me straight back to those years, so it will always be a very special song for me.
