Lorde – Team
Just that intro alone sets the mood. It has such a simple yet hypnotic beat. I discovered this song when I went to New York, and every time I hear it takes me back to early spring in Central Park.
MØ – Final Song
The chorus. Oh my that chorus. I didn’t know a drop chorus until I heard this one. Giving me that perfect 2016 summer vibe.
Walk The Moon – Shut Up And Dance
Speaking of choruses. I am weak for a catchy chorus, and this is one of my go-to songs to put on in the car on any road trip.
Britney Spears – Lucky
This takes me back to one of the first pop CDs my parents got me. It had about 20 early 2000 pop tracks on it but this one was my absolute favourite. Perfectly cheesy, feel-good and oh so catchy.
David Guetta, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson – Crazy What Love Can Do
I absolutely love the hook in this one. It’s my go-to track if I want to energise, whether I’m home on the sofa or need an extra gear at the gym.
Liquido – Narcotic
That immediate riff just pulls you in like a magnet. As the title suggests absolutely addictive. The perfect song to just zone out to. Highly recommend listening to this one on a longer train journey.
Disciples – On My Mind
Such a captivating track. Literally stays on my mind for days after listening to it and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Charlie Puth – How Long
One of my all-time favourites from one of my favourite artists. The best part is the chorus where you only hear a baseline and vocals. Simple yet effective.
Martin Garrix (Clinton Kane) – Drown
Martin Garrix has such amazing diversity in his music. Literally from chilling at home to full on clubbing. This one for me just screams ice cold pints in the sun.
Foxes – Let Go For Tonight
One of the best pop choruses from the 2010s in my opinion. I remember it got me completely off guard the first time I heard it, and I’ve been loving it since. If the coffee won’t do the trick, just add a few seconds of this one.
‘Redeem’ is out now on Make Your Era.
