Back To Mine With Mojave Grey

Mojave Grey continue their mission to redefine the intersection of rock and electronic music. Formed by musicians, producers and multi-instrumentalists Zander Bleck and Michael Pozzi, the duo have carved out a distinctive sonic identity that fuses classic rock sensibilities with modern electronic textures. Drawing inspiration from the expansive landscapes of the Mojave Desert and their shared creative chemistry, the project creates music that is both deeply personal and sonically expansive, establishing themselves as one of electronic music’s most exciting emerging live acts. As their new collaboration with Black Circle, ‘Heavenly’ lands on Armada, DMCWorld goes Back To Mine with Mojave Grey.

Mojave Grey & Black Circle – Heavenly

Our current favourite, just released. We are so excited about this track and our collaboration with Black Circle. It’s been our perfect summer vibe while travelling throughout some spectacular places. Have a listen!

John Williams – Binary Sunset

Poz and I are both major Star Wars and LOTR fans, so it was between this and ‘The Shire’. I picked this.

Frans Bak – Prologue

Pozzi is asleep so I am adding my favourite meditation song. I listen to this nearly every day. It gives me peace.

AIR – La Femme d’Argent

This is my (Zander) favourite song. Just an infectious and mesmerizing groove. It morphs and evolves and is just a timeless journey.

Pink Floyd – Time

The build. The groove, the lyrics. The guitar solo. One of our favourites. We have made this into a new cover and have been playing it.

Leonard Cohen – Hallelujah

Pozzi is asleep, but I’m pretty sure this is his favourite song by his favourite artist. Kind of hard to argue. Just a masterpiece.

Ry Cooder & Ali Farka Touré – Ai Du

Vibes on vibes. Otherworldly. Exotic and sexy. Blending of cultures. Ultimate late-night comedown vibe.

U2 – Where the Streets Have No Name

I remember the first time I (Zander) heard this song and was mesmerized by the intro. The Brian Eno ambient pads into one of the most iconic guitar lines is a masterpiece. Pozzi and I have played this one many times. Funny how its album is called The Joshua Tree…

The Doors – Riders on the Storm

Another iconic track. We reference this song a lot when we talk about what we want Mojave Grey to feel like. This song has a spooky desert magic.

Radiohead – Everything In Its Right Place

Classic. Has been reworked quite a lot. Just genius, timeless and unique. Nothing has been made like it before or after.
