The ‘Future Disco’ series started out on Azuli, but Need Want have taken up the reins – and have if anything overseen a growth in its potential. This is easily the best offering yet, with sleek electro-disco and chunky, 80s-influenced funk rubbing shoulder pads on the dancefloor. Lindstrom is here, his catchy as hell ‘Baby Can’t Stop’, as is Ray Mang, the master of vintage disco-funk, with the marvellous ‘Look Into My Eyes’. Other big names that deliver include Todd Terje and Crazy P, while further big hitters come courtesy of Holy Ghost, Johnny Dynell via Tensnake and the compiler Sean Brosnan himself. Slinky grooves from an increasingly essential imprint.
