Audiojack and his kind team have lovingly curated a six EP set of previously unreleased deep and tech house treasures. As a compilation it appears in two parts simply labelled ‘Day’ and ‘Night’ and over two cds features 24 djs/ producers from 10 different coutries. So what about this EP then? Gorge, Waifs & Strays deliver a disco ball spinning, rhythmic roller called ‘Beat On The Drums’, Julian Chaptal is a whippoorwhill prompted, stripped down tech groove that digs in deeper than a meerkat in summer and to close, Lunar City Express take control for a bleepy and introspective shuffler that percolates like thick coffee in a desert freeway pitstop. Strong stuff from a strong label.
