It’s an odd feeling of deja-vu when listening to the latest Housexy – but it soon becomes clear when you realise most of the tunes selected are on their second club circuit at the very least. With that in mind the mix really shouldn’t work, but somehow it does, and the updates of Robin S, Haji & Emanuel and particularly Lil’ Mo’ Yin Yang (via ATFC) are all well done. CD2 also has a retro feel, with De’Lacy’s ‘Hideaway’ and The Shapeshifters’ ‘Chime’ – the jury’s still out – but it ends strongly with Martin Solveig and Zoo Brazil. When all’s said and done though, this is still an enjoyable, sun-kissed party mix – which is what it’s all about, when you’re buying an Ibiza album.
