You get nothing less than an extremely eclectic mix when Pathaan is at the controls, and this pair of beauties for Supperclub is probably his best pair of mixes yet. The first CD finds him moving around from dreamy records from Pan Electric and Winona through to more assertive beats from Octogen, Bardo State and the superb ‘Mbife’ from Lanoiraude. The enjoyable DJ Disse soundclash with The Doors, ‘Break On Through’, begins the second mix, which again moves around from Trans-Global Underground to Roland Klinkenberg to Kenneth Bager, ever involving and unpredictable. Imaginatively chosen and extremely well mixed, this is a release that keeps closely to the values of Supperclub, and is likely to introduce you to a host of new material as it unwinds.
