Ame’s Fabric mix is a carefully constructed lesson in rise and fall, with some typically seamless mixing taking the listener deep underground. The incredibly cool Wighnomy Brothers remix of Minilogue & KAB’s ‘That’s A Nice Way To Give Me Feedback’ casts a hypnotic spell early on, while the weird samples of Jens Zimmermann’s typo-friendly ‘Modmodblubblub’ won’t be to all tastes but stick in the memory. From here on the boys Beyer and Wiedemann build the tempo steadily on their mix, working up a sweat with STL’s ‘Something Is Raw’ and KB Project’s ‘The Symphony’, leading to the climactic LFO vs Fuse track ‘Loop’. It’s a fine piece of work, darkly edged at times but with a steady groove that just keeps on growing.
