Tenth release on Mixtape sees the veteran producer Orlando, who really needs no introduction here, steaming in with two versions of a subtly-insidious groove vehicle boasting many layers under its sturdy turbo-keks. The First Mix sets up a resonating marimba-laced pulse getting goosed sneakily by bongos over a minimal patter-pulse while the Second Mix seems to mutate the old ESG ‘UFO’ noise amidst a barrage of electronic pebble-dashing. Skilfully-crafted by a true master, both should makes some waves when unleashed.
